We are now looking for an Employment Consultant for a longer temporary position who wants to help develop this important work together with us.
About the position
As an Employment Consultant, you have the coordinated responsibility for the individual's steps towards self-sufficiency together with colleagues at JobbCenter, the Individual and Family Care services, and other collaborating partners. You work with clear and individually tailored paths forward to support the individual's need for labor market-oriented interventions, guidance, and practical activities to approach self-sufficiency.
The work is about meeting people where they are while simultaneously keeping the direction towards work, studies, or other sustainable steps forward for the individual. You will among other things:
- Conduct individual assessments of experiences, competencies, challenges, resources, and goals.
- Work motivationally and clarify the need for support, as well as closely follow and document the individual's steps towards work, studies, or other self-sufficiency.
- Create feasible activity plans together with the individual and relevant actors.
- Match individuals to municipal activities, work training, internships, studies, or other developmental interventions.
- Build relationships and collaborate with social services, the Swedish Public Employment Service, educational providers, employers, and internal operations.
We are looking for you who
- Have a strong commitment to people, labor market issues, and social benefit. You have a good ability to build relationships, set clear demands, and at the same time provide professional support, and you can document your work.
- Are skilled at collaborating with colleagues, other workplaces, authorities, and other actors, and see the team around the individual as crucial for success.
- Are confident in meeting people in different life situations, can handle difficult conversations, and still stay true to the mission.
- Can work structured, independently, and solution-focused even when the path forward is not obvious.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have:
- A completed university degree in one or more of the following areas - Social Work, Behavioral Science, Pedagogy, the Labor Market area, Study and Career Guidance, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent.
- Natural proficiency in working with digital systems and the Office environment.
- A valid B-driver's license.
It is meritorious if you have experience of:
- Working with individuals who are somewhat distant from the labor market, receive social assistance, have health issues, disabilities, substance abuse issues, criminal records, language barriers, or other support needs.
- Coordinating interventions between the individual, authorities, internal operations, and employers.
- Work within municipal labor market operations.
- Motivational interviewing, Supported Employment, solution-focused approach, or similar methods.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
A certificate of conduct (extract from the criminal record) will be requested from the candidate offered the position due to the nature of the work.
